Thoughts on Simone Biles

I can’t stop thinking about the reaction to Simone Biles withdrawing from competition yesterday, so I just wanted to share an assortment of thoughts.

I really know nothing about gymnastics. I don’t know how scores are calculated. I don’t know how points are deducted. And I certainly don’t know how a human hurls their body in the air, complete with twists and sticks a landing with a smile. I have vertigo just thinking…
